At SPINTAP, protecting your personal data is a priority. This page informs you about your rights, the means to exercise them, and the legal safeguards provided under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("EU GDPR"), the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR"), the French Data Protection Act, and other applicable UK data protection legislation.

Consent Compliance and Tracking Tool The application we use to help ensure compliance with EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and other international data protection laws (LGPD, CCPA-CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA, APPI, PIPEDA) collects your IP address and, where applicable, your email address in order to manage your consents, keep a record of your choices, and track your requests.

What Data We Collect and Why
We process personal data for the following purposes: Order and delivery — performance of our contract with you. Payment processing and fraud prevention — contract, legitimate interest, or legal obligation, depending on the activity. Accounting records — legal obligation. Newsletter and marketing communications — your consent, or applicable rules for existing customers. Analytics and advertising (including tools such as Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, where used) — your consent, where required. Customer service — contract or legitimate interest.
We retain data only as long as necessary for these purposes and in line with applicable legal retention periods (for example, accounting documents are kept for 10 years under French law).
Who We Share Your Data With To operate our store, we work with service providers who may process data on our behalf, including our e-commerce platform (Shopify), our payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal), advertising platforms (Meta), and any analytics tools we use (e.g. Google Analytics, if installed). Some of these providers may be located outside the UK/EEA, including the United States; where this is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as adequacy arrangements or Standard Contractual Clauses).

Your Rights

🗑️ Right to Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — Have your data deleted where legal conditions allow. Deletion applies to the data covered by your request; some data must still be retained where required by law (e.g. accounting records for 10 years, or data needed to comply with legal obligations or prevent fraud), even if your account is closed.

Response Time and Conditions We respond within one month of receiving a complete request. This may be extended by up to two further months depending on complexity, and you will be informed accordingly. Free of charge, except in cases of manifestly unfounded or repetitive requests. We may refuse an unjustified request, with an explanation.
Cookie Management Non-essential cookies, including analytics and advertising trackers such as Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, are disabled by default until you give your consent. You can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose your preferences by category via the "Cookies" link in the footer. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
Complaint to a Supervisory Authority If you are located in the United Kingdom, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
